Hip Hop Icons featured in Detroit exhibit
The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) will host an exhibition of portraits of hip-hop icons Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Common, Kanye West, Reverend Run, Duke, Lil Jon, Don "Magic" Juan, Whoo Kid, Marc Ecko and Russell Simmons by Russian-born American painter Alexander Melamid. The opening is February 8th and the exhibit runs through April 20th, 2008.

2008 Ann Arbor Folk Festival at the Ark
Tickets are already sold out for Saturday night at The Ark's Annual Ann Arbor Folk Festival, but there are still a few remaining for Friday night (Jan 25) featuring headliner Ben Folds, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Shemekia Copeland, Trina Hamlin, Brian Vander Ark and others.
