Before I begin writing, I thought I would introduce myself as one of the newest additions to the TCFF blogging team. My name is Katy Gwizdala, and I will be beginning my final year at Michigan State University in the fall, where I am majoring in English and Film Studies with concentrations in Studio Art and Telecommunication. This will be my second year involved with TCFF, and my first working on the press and media team. I am also involved with (shameless plug) the East Lansing Film Festival, where I worked last year as both an intern and a member of a film selection committee. I will continue to be involved with the festival next year and am excited to begin a position as director of the East Lansing Film Society. Working with film festivals continues to be exciting and challenging, and I absolutely love the opportunity to watch great movies and find a way to share the experience with others. First of all I just need to say how much I loved MSU campus! Yes I was there with my wife(who attend for a congress) and 10yo boy last July, 2002, in Kellog. Was amazing! Sunny days!!
Second to share my wishes of success for the Festival, for you and for the filmmakers. I also, wish great moments for the audience!! I unfortunately be several miles away (Brasil)… So, pretty difficult to attend, but still keep in tune from here by the blog and the Michael More Page.

I'm MSU alumni, still live in Lansing and have had my work shown as part of "Michigan's Own" competition in past ELFFs. Glad to hear you are going to be heading the ELFS next year, I look forward to bringing to checking out the films you guys pick with my family at the Hannah Community Center!
