Last Chance to See Movies!

I can't believe it's Sunday already! Any festival volunteer can tell you that even with the 16+ hour work days and massive sleep deprivation, the festival still felt like it flew by way too fast. We still have a few great films this evening to wrap up the 2008 TCFF, so see them while you can. I would definitely recommend watching Buster Keaton's "The General" this afternoon, 3:30 p.m. at the State Theatre downtown. The silent film will be performed with a live organ accompaniment by world-renowned musician Steven Ball. Opportunities like this are rare, and you'll start to appreciate how sound impacts the tone of a film by seeing what a difference the music makes. And don't forget to check out the Closing Night Party, tonight from 8-11 p.m. at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons (Building 50), and the Closing Night Post-Party at Fire Fly from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. to wrap up another great year at the festival.
