TCFF Twitter: Madonna mania!

TCFF co-founder John Robert Williams reports:

Its "M" day today. Saturday. Ever since Michael told Doug and me about this hook up with Madonna late last winter, it's been ramping up to today. Other outlets are whipping up the frenzy. We (the board) still don't know what she's going to do, want to do, or when. We have had a few changes just trying to coordinate the test screenings. The tech guys have to have their game face on today. By dawn, the STATE was buzzing with prep. Video has to be run to the Opera House. The "crush" of media, over 120 credentialed plus all the street shooters, will make this a scene TC has possibly never seen. Unless she's a no-show, we WILL be on the media map tomorrow. My wife Terrie is going to wear one of her Malawian made dresses for the evening. I still don't know what dress to wear.

Yesterday was a gas! Laura Winter's "Baghdad hi" was a great moment! Scampering about from venue to venue to intro the films, do the Q&A's, chat with all of the lovely and excited visitors, sit in the green room with Larry Charles, MM, Doug, etc, before we lit the candle on the world premier of "Religulious", snapping pix of Larry making his hand prints in the cement, watching the movie, wow what a day!!! I have not run into one unhappy attendee!

More soon!

Congrats… international press in Traverse City to cover Madonna's opening remarks and documentary! Reading a story on the BBC website.
