Sorry, I should not have said the campsite bothers me. It looks like a great place to camp. I might cross the creek and camp there when I backpack through the area if no one is there. It is the fire ring right at the edge of the water that bothers me.

This campsite is nestled in an incredible part of the backwoods. The Valley of the Giants, and the NCT are also here. The NCT is a wonderful access to this site. I am also part of the NCTA and also a trail volunteer on our local section of trail in Grand traverse County and my family and I have enjoyed many, many wonderful small hot dog roasts here. I just don’t undersatnd how it is offending to anyone. it is absolutely a beautigul and peaceful and serene place!

The picture labeled NCT Valley of the Giants is NOT on the NCT nor is it a NCT campsite.
That campsite is across the river from the NCT and existed before the GTHC built the trail in that area.
That campsite offends me every time I walk that section of our trail.
