For the first time since the Jackson Shakespeare Festival became the Michigan Shakespeare Festival in 1998, the Shakespeare productions are hitting the road for four performances at the Grand Rapids Ballet Company’s Peter Martin Wege Theatre, the festival’s first foray outside Jackson.

“It’s rather exciting and challenging for us to be playing to an audience that we don’t know,” artistic director John Neville-Andrews said.
