The 23rd annual Wheatland Traditional Arts Weekend is a chance to learn to play drum, fiddle, banjo, blues or swing guitar, train your toes to clog, salsa or tap (or your belly to dance), polish your singing or dance calling skills, enjoy concerts and performances, explore the arts though rug weaving, carving or painting, discover traditional arts including dance, music, toy and instrument making with your children. Formerly Wheatland Dance Camp, the event takes place every year over Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-29, 2011) at the Wheatland Music Organization site near Remus.
This very popular Wheatland event is for those seeking more personal instruction in traditional dance, music, song, arts and crafts. Primitive camping is available at no cost to weekend registrants and participants can pre-register for the entire weekend or for a single day. The Daily/Weekend prices for Adults $40/$75, Children 11-15 $12/$20, Children 5-10 $5/$5 kids with under 5 free! No registration is necessary for evening concerts/dances ($5 each or 3 night pass for $10). Get all the details right here.
