The company AEVCO(Michigan) which made the Kurrent is out of business. They went out in APR 08. There is no one to get in touch with. There were only 47 cars made with only approximately 4 unsold throughout the USA.
SpartanEdge talked with American Electric Vehicle Company president Scott Thornton and took a test drive of the company’s new vehicle on the Michigan State University campus. The Ferndale based company will soon begin selling the all-electric car called the Kurrent for $9,800 (with a $3,000 federal tax rebate). The car costs about 1-cent per mile to drive, compared to 14- to 16-cents per mile for an SUV.
