The massively overtaxed Detroit Super Bowl XL Host Committee website. is hawking tickets to something called "America Online Presents the NFL Experience". There are probably several missing TMs in that title. Thankfully, the much more robust NFL Super Bowl site explains: The National Football League will produce the 15th annual AMERICA ONLINE PRESENTS THE NFL EXPERIENCE AT SUPER BOWL XL at COBO CENTER in DETROIT, MI. The NFL Experience is the most exciting continuous event surrounding Super Bowl XL -- an interactive theme park offering participating games, displays and entertainment attractions.Will also include: autograph sessions, the largest football card show ever, chat sessions with coaches, clinics and "Football 101: Instructional seminar geared to teach women the rules of the game" because, as we all know, men are born with an innate knowledge of the rules of football. It actually appears to be an amazingly good deal at $15 for adults and $10 for kids under 12. You can also avail yourself of the free Motown Winter Blast which takes place February 2nd - 5th in Greektown. Our entertainment editor dug up some stories about Super Bowl parties including information about the best parties and a how-to guide for party crashers. Anyone who goes to Detroit will want to know where things like parking and closed roads are. The Detroit Free Press has a tremendously cool map of downtown Detroit that shows you all this plus restaurants, bars & nightclubs, shops and fun & useful city information (facts, monuments, notable locations). There's also this information on mass transit from the MDOT.
