Snowshoe Hike, Jan 10th; Midland

Tuesday, 1/10/2006 4ñ5:30pm Ages: 12 & up (under 18 with an adult)

Native Americans used snowshoes for thousands of years to make winter travel through deep snow possible. Bring your own snowshoes or borrow a pair from the Chippewa Nature Center to experience this ancient activity. CNC's Dennis Pilaske will teach you the basics of snow shoeing and then take you on a short walk on and off the trails to enjoy the winter wonderland. Meet at the Visitor Center and then after snow shoeing, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. If you need to borrow snowshoes you must call (631-0830) to reserve one of the limited pairs owned by the Nature Center. Please call ahead if conditions are questionable. Meet at the Visitor Center
