The Week for September 22-28, 2008
Today is the autumn equinox and fall starts in about 15 minutes (11:44 am), so I hope everyone has a chance pay their official respects to summer 2008.
After last week’s Event-a-palooza, this weekend’s Four Flags Area Apple Festival in Niles (Sep 25-28) and the American Heritage Festival in Lansing (Sep 27 & 28) might seem like something of an anti-climax.
However, our Absolute Michigan Event Calendar lists a bunch more including the West Michigan Oktoberfest in Grand Rapids (Sep 26-27), the Northern Michigan Lamb & Wool Festival in West Branch (Sep 27-28) which is not to be confused with the Mt. Bruce Station Sheep & Wool Festival in Romeo (Sep 27-28).
Dueling sheep festivals? You can’t make this stuff up.
